* Paul's Tip -Removing Pedals - There's a trick to removing pedals. The left pedal (non-chain side) is "reverse" threaded, which means that you must turn it clockwise (to the right), to loosen and remove it. The right pedal is removed by turning it counter-clockwise. Because pedals are usually quite tight, it helps a lot to use a wrench with a long handle or a special bicycle pedal wrench. Also, when removing the right pedal, we recommend shifting onto the large chainring first. This way, if you slip while turning the pedal wrench, you won't strike the chainring teeth and cut yourself. If you're having trouble removing your pedals, be sure to ask us for help, too!
